Death Penalty Documentary
It is hard to believe that the United States still enforces the death penalty. You would think that the "best country in the world" would have gotten rid of this way of execution a long time ago. People across the United States are split on this matter. Some support and want the U.S. to keep enforcing the death penalty. Whereas the other half want to get rid if it once and for all. A lot of protests have been made by both sides.
In the documentary, one of the families who were affected by the bombing were told to show up to the trial of the bombers. The wife of a victim noticed his hand when he entered the court room, and thought to herself that she hopes that his injury hurts. That she hopes he is in a lot of pain. Another family who was effected by a murder, wanted the them dead. The mother was angry and was really enforcing the death penalty. I find it really interesting how when you are personally affected by something horrific, your views can switch. Watching from afar, you would want to abolish the death penalty. But once you are personally affected, you would want the worst punishment for that person who committed the crime.
